The Xiaomi 14 Civi smartphone was presented in India. It's an affordable phone that offers near-flagship performance.

It has a 6.55-inch LTPO OLED display, curved on all four sides. Its capabilities are as follows: dynamic image refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, brightness up to 3000 nits, PWM with a frequency of 2160 Hz, support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. 

Like other models of the Civi series, the new product is equipped with a dual selfie camera with a pair of 32-megapixel sensors. They can record 4K video at 30fps and support slow motion. There is even a teleprompter mode for video bloggers.

The main camera with Leica Vario-Summilux optics is no less impressive. It includes a 50-megapixel sensor with optical stabilization, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module. However, there is no OIS here. But for photo editing there are many styles and filters inspired by Leica.

The heart of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is paired with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage. Xiaomi's own Pascal T1 chip helps with networking: it promises improvements in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (by 16%), cellular communications (by 37%) and GPS (by 24%).

Xiaomi 14 Civi is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 4,700 mAh. The battery only supports 67W wired charging. You can also note stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC, an IR blaster, a slot for two SIM cards (no microSD) and an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The phone has a premium design with a metal frame that is 7.45 millimeters thick in Shadow Black and Cruise Blue colors and 7.75 millimeters thick in Matcha Green. The latter received a back cover made of artificial leather, which is more resistant to wear.

Xiaomi 14 Civi is already available for pre-order in India, where prices start at 43,000 rupees (≈46,000 rubles). An international release has not yet been announced.
