They can still be taken down one by one.

The fourth season of Netflix's The Witcher is still in pre-production, set to begin filming in March in the UK, but the show's creators have already begun developing the fifth part. Redanian Intelligence learned about this.

They were originally supposed to be developed back-to-back, but the actor and writer strikes in Hollywood last year changed those plans. By the time the strikes began, the script was partially ready only for the fourth season. Immediately after their completion, it was quickly finished. And work on the fifth began only after the Christmas holidays.

However, Netflix still has the opportunity to film them back to back. It usually takes about six months to write one season, then a little more time to refine the story. Filming for the fourth installment is expected to last until October 2024. By this time, the continuation script will most likely be ready.

In the new series, Henry Cavill, who played Geralt of Rivia, will be replaced by The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth. Laurence Fishburne has also joined the cast of the show, who will play the role of the ancient vampire Regis.
