The whole family fell ill: Yulia Tymoshenko, her daughter and son-in-law fell ill with coronavirus

Yulia Tymoshenko's press secretary reported that the politician had contracted COVID-19. Her condition is assessed as serious.

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine, 59-year-old Yulia Tymoshenko, became infected with the coronavirus along with her daughter Evgenia. Evgenia’s husband Arthur Chechetkin also fell ill. Marina Soroka, Yulia’s press secretary, on her Facebook page (an extremist organization banned in Russia) gave details about Tymoshenko’s condition: “Yes, unfortunately, this is true. The test showed that Yulia Vladimirovna has COVID-19. The condition is assessed as serious. Temperature up to 39. Struggling.” 

Tymoshenko last appeared in public on August 8. On that day, she announced the start of the election campaign of her party “Batkivshchyna” as part of the local elections that will be held in October.

There is no other information about the politician's condition yet. According to Worldometers, by August 23, 104,958 patients with COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, 1,987 new cases have been identified.
