Microsoft will allow widgets to be pinned to the desktop in Windows 11.

This will work similarly to Gadgets in Windows 7.

It is expected that users will be able to place widgets anywhere on the device's home screen without restrictions. Similar to “Gadgets” in Windows 7 . The company expects that this feature will increase the popularity of the OS.

However, so far this option is not even in preliminary tested builds of Windows 11 and insiders cannot say when it will start appearing for users. They do not rule out that the company will talk in detail about expanded support for widgets at its Build 2023 conference, which will be held from May 23 to 25.
