The Philips Performer Ultimate vacuum cleaner will notice dirt and dust that others don't see

You won't find people who like to clean during the day. However, everyone, without exception, loves cleanliness and order - whether you like it or not, at least once a week you pick up a rag and turn on the vacuum cleaner. Most do this reluctantly, “anticipating” the gloomy prospect of walking around the house for a good hour with a heavy device, simultaneously changing attachments to cope with parquet and carpeting. And after that, you still have to arm yourself with a mop to collect the remaining dirt that the vacuum cleaner “didn’t notice.” You can forget about the second point of this program with a new product from Philips - the Performer Ultimate vacuum cleaner, with which not a single speck of dust will go unnoticed. Editor Yulia Krivulkina was convinced of this from personal experience.

When a furry pet lives in the house, you need to clean it two or even three times more often, otherwise you simply cannot escape the fur. And not every vacuum cleaner manages to get rid of it efficiently, and as a result, unnoticed wool “eats” into the carpet. But with the Philips Performer Ultimate vacuum cleaner it is simply impossible not to notice even the smallest dirt - the device is equipped with a unique TriActive LED nozzle with LED backlight. To be honest, at first the manufacturer’s promise that the device was able to get rid of dust that is not visible in normal lighting seemed too fabulous to me. However, from the first seconds of using it, it became clear that this was really true, and not an ordinary marketing ploy. When you turn on the backlight (if desired, you can easily turn it off right on the handle), you’re amazed at how much dust there is in a seemingly clean room.

Thanks to the convenient flat design of the nozzle, you can get rid of “invisible” dust in hard-to-reach places - for example, under a sofa or bed. TriActive LED is truly unique, because it alone is enough to clean tiles, parquet, carpet, upholstered furniture, and even curtains. For each of these coatings there is a specific mode that is switched on the handle - the desired one is displayed on a small digital panel, which is located on the body of the device.

By the way, not finding the usual nozzle with bristles, to which fur and debris cling, I became a little tense, because my cat prefers carpet to all beds... But it turned out that my worries were in vain: TriActive LED copes with carpets no worse than with others.

It's all about the structure of the nozzle, which has a rubber layer at the base - hair and fur do not get tangled or form tangles, but immediately end up in a bag with other debris. The nozzle also copes well with sand that comes home on shoes with the onset of spring and even allows you to avoid regular wet cleaning.

The set also includes additional attachments designed for furniture, curtains and crevices. They are stored in a special compartment that is built into the body of the vacuum cleaner. They cannot be called running gear, so it is convenient that they do not take up extra space and, if necessary, can be easily removed.

What impressed me the most was the auto shut-off feature. If you urgently need to answer a call, open doors, move furniture, or just get distracted by something for a while, you just need to put the handle on the floor - after a few seconds the vacuum cleaner turns itself off. To make the device work again, simply lift the handle and you can continue cleaning.

An important feature that should be immediately taken into account is that the Performer Ultimate vacuum cleaner is equipped with a dust bag. For those who are accustomed to devices with containers, this moment may seem inconvenient, because you need to constantly have a supply of additional bags in the house. And although one bag should hold 4 liters of dust, it is enough for about 5 very thorough cleanings. When the bag is completely filled, a corresponding icon appears on the screen on the unit body.

By the way, the fullness of the bag does not affect the suction power in any way - this is ensured thanks to AirFlowMax technology, which is responsible for good air circulation.

It is impossible not to note the stylish design of Philips Performer Ultimate . The appearance of the device is very laconic: the model FC8924 I tested is presented in gray color. When working on the case, a pleasant blue backlight turns on - it seems like a small thing, but it pleases the eye. By the way, the vacuum cleaner is maneuverable, despite the fact that the gadget weighs about 6 kilograms.
