An epic trailer for Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon has been released and a sequel has been announced.

Initially, the plot of the film was supposed to be part of the Star Wars universe.

Netflix has shared the trailer for the new sci-fi action movie “Rebel Moon” from Zack Snyder. The streaming service has already given the green light for a sequel.

The film tells the story of a girl whose colony was captured by the tyrant Belisarius, who subjugates the worlds. To fight back, the heroine gathers allies throughout the galaxy. The main roles were played by Sofia Boutella and Charlie Hunnam.

Initially, the director planned to make this plot part of the Star Wars universe, but then decided to turn it into a separate cinematic universe. This is Snyder's second film for Netflix. Before that there was Army of the Dead , which they also want to make a franchise out of.

Rebel Moon will be released on December 22nd on Netflix.
