The Olympic champion told Lera Kudryavtseva about the reason for her divorce from her ex-husband, and also surprised her with a frank confession that concerns her close relative.

It seems that a famous person cannot have a truly private life. After all, he is all in full view: everyone knows who he is married to, what he is interested in, where he goes on vacation... So the personal life of Olympic champion Svetlana Zhurova is not a secret behind seven seals. Fans of the athlete know that she has been divorced for a long time and has two sons. It is unpleasant for Svetlana, like any woman, to talk about the reasons for separating from her husband, but still she sees no reason to hide them. Svetlana’s successful career put an end to her marriage with Artem Chernenko.

 “This is a real test,” Zhurova recalls. - Everyone wants to chat with you, say hello. And then: “Who is this?” “And this is the husband.”

It is a rare man who will be able to forgive his wife for her success and popularity and will agree to live modestly in the shadow of his famous wife. It is not surprising that the marriage of Svetlana and Artem fell apart at the seams, and neither the sons nor the good that once existed between the spouses could save it. And if the matter had only ended in divorce... The husband, offended by Svetlana, decided to sue her house.

“He was angry, of course, and these divisions began,” Svetlana reflects.

Well, when driven by emotions, people often do things that they may later regret. It is not known whether Svetlana’s ex-husband regrets leaving his ex-wife and sons without a home, but it is quite obvious that the marriage has exhausted itself and sooner or later would have ended in divorce anyway.

However, divorce is not the end of the world. Svetlana is a very impressive woman. The Prince of Monaco himself showed her signs of attention , but Svetlana only laughs it off, remembering this period of her life. Men often pay attention to Zhurova, but in the State Duma, where Svetlana has been working for fourteen years, not everyone can appreciate the bright appearance of a deputy with a sports background.
