Zendaya in diamonds, the Seyfried mermaid and the return of “Stifler’s mom”: stars shone at the Emmy Awards.

The awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles: even those who do not like social parties did not miss the red carpet.

This September has not even reached the halfway point yet, but it can already definitely be called the most beautiful month of the year. First we admired the stars and their stylish outfits on the red carpet in Venice, then we turned our attention to the Toronto Film Festival, and on the evening of September 12, the 74th Emmy Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles.

Just a few years ago, statues with a winged woman among celebrities were considered far from the most prestigious award, but now it can easily compete with the Oscars, since nowadays TV series are becoming almost more popular than feature films.

The fact that the Emmy attracts attention is proven by one simple fact - the number of celebrity guests at the ceremony this year was off the charts. Even Zendaya, who had recently been skipping all social events to film the second part of Dune, left Budapest for a few days and returned to the United States.

We don’t know whether it was intuition or cold calculation, but the actress clearly selected the image in the hope that that evening she would still have the good fortune to go up on stage to receive an award. Celebrity stylist Law Roach chose a vintage black Valentino off-the-shoulder Golden Hollywood style dress for Zendaya.

In it (and in the Bulgari diamond necklace), the actress looked like a real princess, and in addition, she left the ceremony with an award: she became the best dramatic actress for her role in “Euphoria.”

Despite the fact that Zendaya received this award for the second year in a row, she looked as happy as possible and burst into tears while making her speech. We are sure that at that moment Tom Holland was the only one rejoicing somewhere - it’s a pity the star doesn’t take his boyfriend to the red carpet. We only learn that celebrities are still together and enjoying life fully thanks to paparazzi photographs.

Not long ago, Zendaya celebrated her 26th birthday and by this time she had already become one of the most promising actresses of our time. True, there is an “achievement” that she will never submit to - her relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio.

“You’re young enough to play schoolgirls, but you’re too old to date Leo,” joked award presenter Kenan Thompson, hinting that as soon as the actor’s girlfriends turn 25, he immediately breaks up with them.

Zendaya's co-star in the series "Euphoria" Sydney Sweeney also competed for the award in the category "Best Supporting Actress", but this time luck was not on her side. A few months ago, upon learning that she had been nominated for the award, Sydney recorded a video of herself calling her mother and crying with joy. It’s a pity that the actress’s fans never got to know what her reaction would be if she won, but Sweeney is only 25 years old and her career is just beginning.

But for Amanda Seyfried, a second wave of popularity began a few years ago. From a star of romantic comedies, she turned into a serious dramatic actress, and between these two stages, the star even managed to give birth to a son. In 2021, Amanda received an Oscar nomination, but she was never awarded the statuette, but now she has won an Emmy in the category “Best Actress in a Miniseries.” On the red carpet, Seyfried looked like a real mermaid in a pink Armani Prive dress with sequins reminiscent of iridescent scales.

After transforming into Pamela Anderson in the TV series Pam and Tommy, Lily James still can’t stop experimenting with beauty. We have already seen her as both a blonde and a brunette, but now she has become bronze-red. The actress did not betray her favorite brand Versace and chose a long shiny dress with drapery and an unusual bodice.

Chrissy Teigen also decided to highlight her figure. A month ago, the model, who lost her child last fall, announced that she was pregnant again. She admitted that the new stage of life is not easy for her, but she is ready to overcome any difficulties in order to become a mother again.

Another star of the ceremony was Jennifer Coolidge, who received the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries for her role in White Lotus. At 60+, the actress is definitely not going to leave the image of a glamorous blonde, which was attached to her after “American Pie.”

But the star wanted to give up the role, which ultimately brought her an award. When the director of the series called her and asked her to come to the audition, she told him that during the pandemic she had gained several extra pounds and did not want to appear on screen like that.

As a result, the star finally changed her mind and is now basking in the glory again: instead of giving a long, boring speech to the guests of the ceremony, she simply performed a dance and ran to celebrate her victory with a glass of sparkling wine!
