At the end of January, 42-year-old Paris Hilton became a mother for the first time. The socialite and her husband Carter Reum became parents thanks to a surrogate mother. Paris took care of procreation several years ago by freezing her eggs. According to the blonde, she did not intend to give birth on her own, because her busy work schedule (filming/travel/interview) would not allow her to take a break for 9 months.

The news about the motherhood of the most reckless party girl of the 2000s shook the Internet. The first photo of the child’s little hand made everyone finally convinced that the “tough Paris” had really changed and realized that the main thing for her was not parties, but family.

Exactly a month has passed since the publication - that’s exactly how long it took the new mother to reveal the child’s name to the world. So, on the This is Paris podcast, the star finally revealed what she named her newborn son: the boy was named Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum.

“I came up with this name many years ago,” Paris said. She also noted that she gave the baby the name Phoenix in honor of the mythical bird that can be reborn from the ashes.

“I want my son to grow up understanding that life has its ups and downs and that we should never give up hope for a brighter future.”

The boy's middle name, Barron, was given in honor of his great-grandfather, Barron Hilton, the late owner of the Hilton hotel chain.

“Grandfather was always my mentor, and I respected him very much. Despite our differences, we were very close and I miss him every day, so I really wanted to honor him in this way,” Paris said on her podcast.

The late billionaire's disagreements with his granddaughter were once the subject of widespread discussion. The fact is, in the last years of his life, Barron Hilton became angry with his relatives, who led a riotous lifestyle on money they had not earned.

Paris became the main disappointment for the grandfather: the man was especially shocked by the frivolous video featuring his granddaughter and Rick Salomon, her ex-boyfriend.
