Warner Bros. has released the long-awaited trailer for the film adaptation of the Mortal Kombat series of games. Although the trailer showed Sub-Zero, Scorpion and other famous characters, the main character will be Cole Young - he was created specifically for the film.

In the story, Yang is being chased by Sub-Zero on the orders of Emperor Shang Tsung. To protect his family and survive the battle against enemies from the Outer World, he will have to train with great heroes to discover the power of the arcana.

It is interesting that a newcomer was entrusted with the work on the film - this is the first full-length work for director Simon McQuoid.

The premiere of “Mortal Kombat” in Russia will take place on April 8.
